Invisalign Back

Of all the accessories you wear everyday nothing does more for your appearance and your self-confidence than a beautiful and straight smile. But trust us—not everyone who has a straight smile just happened to luck out and have perfectly aligned teeth. Most people wear orthodontic braces in order to have a straight smile. If you missed the opportunity to wear traditional braces when you were younger and would now like to straighten your teeth, there is a clear alternative. Invisalign in Maple Valley Dental Clinic allows Dr. Dhaliwal and Dr. Tran to provide orthodontic treatment that is far less noticeable than traditional braces.

The Invisalign Difference: Traditional braces are comprised of metal brackets that are cemented to the facial side of teeth and metal wires that attach to the brackets. Invisalign braces, on the other hand, are made of clear PBA-free plastic. These clear braces are designed to methodically put pressure on your teeth—different teeth at different times—in order to move your teeth into their proper alignment. The aligners look like mouth trays and are arranged in sets that we’ll dispense to you from our office. All you have to do is wear each set for about two weeks, throw them away and move on to the next set.

The Invisalign Advantage: Aside from being clear and discreet, Invisalign braces offer another advantage over traditional metal braces. They are removable. Of course, you will need to wear your braces for the better part of each day—at least 22 hours—in order to complete your orthodontic treatment on time. Typically, treatment time takes 12 to 24 months.
At mealtime and when you want to brush and floss your teeth, simply take out your aligners. That these clear braces in Maple Valley Dental Clinic are removable means that you’ll be able to eat whatever you want at breakfast, lunch and dinner and for snacks. There are usually restrictions with traditional braces because certain foods are more easily caught in the brackets—corn-on-the-cob—and others have a tendency, to dislodge or break the brackets, such as chewy candies, pretzels and raw carrots.
In addition, because you can brush and floss your teeth as usual, you’ll be better able to avoid problems such as cavities and gum disease during your orthodontic treatment.

The Invisalign Process: As certified Invisalign providers, Dr. Dhaliwal and Dr. Tran work closely with technicians at the Invisalign lab to design aligners that will transform your smile. Invisalign can be used to correct teeth that are crooked, crowded or irregularly spaced. Based on x-rays, photographs and impressions, each set of aligners will build on the progress of the previous. As you advance through each series of clear braces, you will see your teeth gradually straighten.
